Jordan Tourism Board, in cooperation with the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, set up a pavilion that includes a group of Jordanian public and private universities to participate in the international exhibition, as part of a strategy to market educational tourism in the Kingdom and attract Omani students to study in Jordanian universities, as well as members of the Jordanian community and other communities in Oman.

Dr. Al-Sharairi pointed out that such exhibition is an opportunity to promote Jordan as a destination for educational tourism and a rich opportunity to present the programs of the German Jordanian University, their unique application model, and relations with universities and industrial sectors in Germany, which enable our students to spend their German year studying at one of the partner universities and training with one of the industrial partners.

Dr. Al-Sharairi asserted that the GJU is a melting pot which holds the Arab and European cultures within, as the university can be presented to Omani youth as an international and pioneering Arab university that they can enroll in. They would in turn benefit from the scientific and practical learning journey that it provides and an opportunity to interact with the European culture. A delegation from GJU headed by Vice President Prof. Dr. Malik Al Sharairi and Assistant Director of Admission and Registration, Mohammed Al Sotari, participated in the Jordanian pavilion of accredited universities in Oman as part of the Global Exhibition for Higher Education GHEDEX 23, which was launched Sunday, May 1st, and continued for three days in Muscat, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Omani Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.

The Jordanian pavilion and the university corner were visited by the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, the Jordanian ambassador to Oman, the military attaché at the embassy, many members of the Jordanian community, and groups of secondary school students and teachers in the Sultanate of Oman.
