
As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen regional and international partnerships in advanced scientific fields, the President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, welcomed a delegation from the Regional Center for Space Science and Technology Education for Western Asia, led by Brigadier General Eng. Muammar Haddadin. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for mutual cooperation in education and specialized training in space science and technology.
During the meeting, which was attended by several academics and stakeholders, the two sides discussed proposed areas of collaboration. These included the development of academic courses on the fundamentals of space science and technology, as well as the organization of specialized technical training programs targeting university students and professionals from various sectors. The aim is to build advanced scientific capacities in this vital field.
Prof. Al-Halhouli emphasized the university’s commitment to establishing strategic partnerships with specialized scientific institutions. He highlighted the importance of integrating space science and technology concepts into university curricula to enhance students' skills and better align academic outcomes with the demands of the global labor market.
For his part, Brigadier General Eng. Haddadin expressed his appreciation for the leading role played by GJU in higher education across the region. He affirmed the center’s readiness to cooperate in implementing joint training and research projects, as well as in providing students with practical knowledge in the field of space sciences.
This meeting aligns with the university’s vision to expand into future-focused disciplines and open new horizons for its students in innovation and space exploration, thereby reinforcing its position as a pioneering educational institution in the region.
