November 16, 2024, Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German Jordanian University, Eng. Othman Bdeir, the university celebrated the graduation of its 15th cohort, the "Silver Jubilee", in a special ceremony coinciding with the 20th anniversary of its establishment.

The ceremony began with the procession of graduates, followed by the procession of faculty members and the arrival of the event’s patron. A video was shown documenting the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the university.

During the ceremony, Eng. Bdeir praised the university's vision, which was established 20 years ago under royal directives, and its role in strengthening the strategic partnership between Jordan and Germany. He highlighted how the university has become an educational beacon, graduating generations of distinguished youth. He also commended the efforts of the faculty and administrative staff, encouraging the graduates to uphold the values of knowledge, perseverance, and dedication.

For his part, the university’s president, Prof. Alaa Aldeen Alhalhouli, expressed his pride in the university's achievements this year, particularly after receiving the Independence Medal of the First Class and the ISO 9001 and 21001 certifications, which recognize the university’s high academic and administrative standards. He also urged the graduates to continue innovating, embrace teamwork, and serve their communities, emphasizing the importance of knowledge in facing challenges.

Several graduates delivered speeches in three languages _ Arabic, English, and German _ expressing their deep gratitude to their professors and families for the knowledge and guidance they generously provided, as well as their pride in their university, which they considered their second home. They affirmed that this graduation marks the beginning of the change they aspire to bring to the world.

The ceremony concluded with a video showcasing the success story of one of the graduates, followed by the distribution of certificates to the students in a celebratory setting filled with joy and pride from the graduates and their families.

This event reflects the German Jordanian University’s commitment to graduating generations capable of facing challenges and contributing to the building of a bright future for Jordan.
