
The Community Service section at the Support Services Department (SSD) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in collaboration with Shami Eye Center, organized a free medical day for the residents of Na'ur District and Madaba Governorate at the university's campus in Al-Musharq. The event aimed to provide specialized medical services to citizens and employees, as part of an initiative to enhance healthcare and support community work.
During the opening of the event, the Vice President of the university, Prof. Malek Al-Sharairi, expressed his pride in organizing this event, which reflects the university's commitment to supporting health and charity initiatives within the local community. He confirmed that the university always seeks to strengthen cooperation with community institutions to achieve sustainable development.
For her part, Dr. Abeer Al-Saeed, DRegional Director at Shami Eye Center, expressed her happiness with the collaboration with the university, noting that this was the first time the center participated in medical activities at the university. Al-Saeed clarified that the center is keen on providing distinguished health services to citizens.
The event witnessed a remarkable turnout from citizens and employees, with the presence of Eng. Bara Al-Qudah, Director of the Support Services Department at the university, Mr. Hayel Al-Hlalat, Head of the Community Service, and the university's doctor Dr. Hatef Abu Wa’ar. Various medical services were provided, including specialized eye exams, blood laboratory tests, as well as free consultations from nutrition specialists.
At the conclusion of the event, participants expressed their gratitude to the university and Shami Eye Center for their efforts, as many residents were able to benefit from the services offered, reflecting the university and the center's commitment to providing medical support and health services to the local community.
