The German Jordanian University (GJU) has achieved a significant milestone in global higher education by advancing to the 781–790 band in the newly released QS World University Rankings 2027. This marks a notable progression from the 801–850 band in 2026 and the 901–950 band in 2025, reflecting the university’s sustained growth and rising academic standing.
The improvement in GJU’s overall score over the past year reinforces its position among Jordan’s leading higher education institutions and places the university within the top 52.5% of universities worldwide.
GJU ranked first in Jordan in the Faculty-Student Ratio indicator, underscoring the quality of its teaching environment. Leveraging its strong partnerships with European institutions, the university also secured second place nationally in the International Faculty Ratio indicator.
In graduate employability, GJU ranked third in Jordan in the Employment Outcomes indicator, highlighting its success in preparing highly competitive graduates for the labor market. The university also recorded a substantial improvement in its Sustainability score during the current ranking cycle.
Commenting on the achievement, GJU President Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli expressed his pride in the university’s continued global progress, emphasizing that this accomplishment is the outcome of a carefully designed institutional roadmap and a clear strategic vision.
He noted that the remarkable improvements across several key indicators reflect the dedication and commitment of the university’s academic and administrative staff. Looking ahead, he affirmed that GJU will continue to build on this momentum by expanding its international research footprint, strengthening industry partnerships, and deepening global academic collaborations, further consolidating its position among distinguished universities worldwide.
