The IEEE GJU Student Branch, in collaboration with the IEEE RAS Jordan Chapter, successfully hosted the Discovering IoT event at the Technology, Research, and Innovation Park (TRIP) at GJU. The event aimed to highlight innovation and expertise in the world of the Internet of Things (IoT).

PSUT IoT Club students presented IEEE’s IoT organizational unit, encouraging attendees to explore the rapidly evolving field of IoT and join the global community.

A keynote address by Eng. AbdelRazzaq AbuHejleh, GJU alumnus and IoT expert from Canaan IoT, focused on real-world IoT applications, including their development of IoT systems for Dimitris Coffeehouse.

The event also featured an insightful panel discussion moderated by GJU student Anas Abu Zahra, with contributions from Eng. Feras Diab (CEO of Connection of Things), Dr. Ghaith Al-Rifai (Faculty member, GJU Mechatronics Department), and Eng. AbdelRazzaq AbuHejleh (Canaan IoT).

The discussions fostered a productive exchange of ideas between students and faculty. The event concluded with a networking session, where Dimitris Coffeehouse sponsored coffee for attendees, followed by a tour of GJU’s Smart Factory Lab. Students had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge IoT devices and technologies, fueling curiosity and excitement for the future of IoT.
