The Environmental Cooperation Foundation, in collaboration with the German Jordanian University, organized an awareness lecture on energy efficiency and sustainable energy at the Irbid Cultural Center. This lecture is part of the national initiative launched by the foundation, "Sustainability of the Nation."

Farouq Al-Hazaima, the foundation's president, stated that Jordan is among the leading countries in renewable energy production, highlighting the importance of focusing on energy storage projects and increasing the contribution of renewable energy in electricity production.

Dr. Osama Saadeh from the Department of Energy Engineering at the German Jordanian University emphasized that renewable energy is the energy of the future. He noted that Jordan is rich in renewable energy resources, which should be utilized to achieve sustainable development both economically and environmentally.

He also pointed out the importance of enhancing regional cooperation in transitioning to sustainable energy and improving its efficiency, which will contribute to building more stable, efficient, competitive, and climate-resilient communities.

The lecture, which included the participation of several experts and researchers, covered various aspects of renewable energy, its different types, and applications. It also showcased the latest technological advancements in this field.
