The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, met with the German Embassy delegation and discussed ways to deepen cooperation between the two parties in common areas.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Halhouli indicated that the university's vision focuses on strengthening the German dimension, creativity, and innovation, building partnerships with German industrial companies, and opening new channels for technical education at the university.
Dr. Al-Halhouli pointed out GJU's consultations with the German Federal Employment Agency and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research to begin a hub at the university for industry and innovation to prepare Jordanian youth for the global labor market, particularly in Germany, by building a strategic partnership with the German side.
Dr. Al-Halhouli presented the university's vision and strategy 2022 and beyond, future projects, and the role of the Deanship of Innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship in promoting a culture of innovation in all universities departments and among the members of society in addition to incubating startups.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation visited the EDU-SYRIA/EDU-JORDAN Program, which aims to provide more than 3000 scholarships for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians who are beneficiaries of local aid funds to learn about the Program's role in the area, achievements, and other programs offered by the EDU-SYRIA/EDU-JORDAN Program.
