On the occasion of the International Civil Defense Day, Madaba Civil Defense Directorate, in cooperation with the German Jordanian University, celebrated the World Civil Defense Day by holding an exhibition of machinery and operational equipment inside the university campus, in the presence of its President, Professor Dr. Ala' Aldeen Al-Halhouli.
The exhibition included a detailed explanation of the latest equipment used by the Civil Defense, as well as blood pressure and diabetes checks for University students and employees by Civil Defense paramedics.
Lt. Col. Al-Sarhan presented to the President of the University, the students and staff, a detailed explanation of the exhibition, the mechanisms and equipment used in rescue operations, first aid, firefighting, rescuing cases of suffocation and fractures, and awareness lectures.
For his part, Dr. Al-Halhouli expressed his gratitude to and his pride in the establishment of public security in general and the civil defense in particular, and the noble message it presents to citizens and their speed of response, pointing out that there will be a strengthening of cooperation between the two sides by organizing intensive awareness courses for students by the civil defense and community police.
The exhibition also included providing the service of conducting diabetes and blood pressure checks for its visitors, highlighting the role of the Public Security Directorate in preserving the safety of citizens anhd their property, and distributing posters that explain the tasks and duties of the Civil Defense Directorate.
