In the context of maintaining communication, expanding horizons of cooperation, and strengthening the partnership between the Jordanian Armed Forces and national scientific institutions, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Hunaiti, visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) and was received by the President of GJU, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-halhouli.
Major General Al-Hunaiti listened to a detailed explanation given by the Dr. Al-Halhouli about the stages of the University's establishment, the developments, its academic programs, and its strategic plan to be an international and applied university pioneering in innovation, scientific research, leadership, and community service.
Major General Al-Hunaiti stressed the importance of university education in qualifying Jordanian youth and keeping pace with the rapid developments witnessed by the local and international labor market to meet the aspirations of Jordanian and Arab youth alike, pointing to enhancing prospects for cooperation and the need to benefit from the expertise and competencies between the armed forces and the University.
For his part, Dr. Al-Halhouli stressed that GJU is ready to cooperate with the Jordanian Armed Forces in artificial intelligence, cyber security, the Dual Studies Program, and joint programs that would deepen the values of loyalty among our conscious youth who belong to their country and nation.
After the visit, which was attended by several senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army, the Vice President, Assistant to the President, and the deans, Major General Al-Hunaiti, and his accompanying delegation visited the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI- TECH) where they listened to a briefing on the Deanships role in spreading the culture of leadership in GJU and society, in addition to its incubating projects and strengthening the relationship with the private sector through the Dual Studies Program.
