A delegation representing the Finance Committee of the Bavarian State Council, headed by representative Josef Silmayer, visited the German Jordanian University to learn about its experience and its role in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and developing the process of higher education at the regional level.
During the meeting with the delegation, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Aladdin Al-Halhouli, indicated that the University receives great interest from the political leadership in both countries, as it is the product of distinguished relations and a bright model of German-Jordanian friendship.
Dr. Al-Halhouli added that the university is looking forward to increasing the number of its strategic partnerships with the educational and industrial sectors in Germany in order to provide study and training opportunities for its students during the fourth academic year that all university students spend in Germany.
During the meeting at the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship, in the presence of vice-presidents and a number of deans and directors, the university's efforts to provide job opportunities for its graduates in Germany were reviewed in cooperation with the competent authorities, in addition to attracting German companies to open branches and hubs at the university.
In turn, the head and members of the delegation consisting of Georg Winter, Martin Bach Huber, Michelle Hoffmann, Barbara Becker, Hanzen Herold, Secretary of the Budget Committee, Dr. Marcus Raeder, and the regional representative of the Hans Seidel Foundation, Christoph Duvartz, stressed the importance of supporting the university's directions in strengthening its partnerships with German institutions.
At the end of the visit, the delegation toured a number of the university's facilities, which included the library, the Syrian-Jordanian Education Project, the Nano Lab, the Deanship of Innovation, and the Technology and Entrepreneurship
