About the project, Dr. Rami said, “It is important to situate this project as part of a conscious attempt to conserve and adapt Amman's Heritage of Modernity represented here by this industrial facility and incorporate that Modern Heritage as part of the national conception of cultural heritage.”
“The Project is about adapting and conserving Amman Electricity Hangar, which was built in the 1930s, into a contemporary public space hosting socio-cultural and art-related events that are more inclusive in nature. The Project also includes the building of a new edifice, which is Ras al Ein Gallery as a contributor to cultural activities in the city.”
