The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Professor Dr. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, received His Excellency Mr. Abdelkarim Baha, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during an official visit to the University, as part of efforts to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Professor Dr. Al-Halhouli affirmed GJU’s commitment to expanding its academic partnerships with higher education institutions in Algeria. He highlighted the University’s readiness to welcome Algerian students across its various academic programs, noting GJU’s distinguished international learning environment and its unique practice-oriented academic model.
For his part, Ambassador Baha praised the advanced academic standing of the German Jordanian University and its modern educational environment. He expressed his interest in broadening academic and research cooperation between Algerian universities and GJU, in a way that serves the interests of students and educational institutions in both countries.
During the visit, Ambassador Baha toured a number of university facilities, including the GJU Library, where he was briefed on its advanced services and its role in supporting scientific research. He also visited the German Language Center, which represents a cornerstone in strengthening the German dimension of the University’s academic experience.
The tour further included the Technology, Research, and Innovation Complex, where His Excellency was introduced to the entrepreneurial and research projects hosted by the Complex, and its role in linking academic education with practical application, fostering a culture of innovation, and building effective partnerships with the industrial and technological sectors.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Khalida Al-Radaideh, Director of the Presidency Department, along with German Language Center instructors Mohammad Rashed and Fatima Al-Mousawi.
