The President of the German Jordanian University, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al- Halhouli, received the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Ajman University, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Saleh, and the Dean of the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah, Dr. Fadi Al-Alloul, as part of a visit aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and fostering the exchange of expertise between the institutions.
Prof. Ala'aldeen Al- Halhouli reaffirmed the German Jordanian University’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with leading universities at the regional and international levels, noting that such visits provide an important platform for sharing best practices and further developing academic programs in line with labor market needs. He also highlighted the University’s continuous efforts to strengthen cooperation with industry and to align educational outcomes with market demands.
The meeting reviewed prospects for partnership in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, cooperation in academic programs, and the development of joint research projects. Opportunities for faculty and student exchange were also discussed, contributing to enhancing the quality of higher education and keeping pace with global scientific developments.
For their part, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Saleh and Dr. Fadi Al-Alloul commended the advanced academic standing of the German Jordanian University and its modern learning environment and distinctive academic programs, expressing their aspiration to broaden the scope of joint cooperation in the coming period.
At the conclusion of the visit, the guests toured a number of the University’s facilities and colleges, including the Technology, Research and Innovation Complex and the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship. They were also briefed on GJU’s key academic programs and its major scientific and research achievements.
