On June 3, 2024, the German Language Center welcomed GJU Alumni Farah Abu Hmaidan to join some of our B2-Track students in a casual and interactive atmosphere discussing and sharing her experiences during the German Year.
Farah and the students, most of them planning to leave to Germany in September next year, discussed various topics such as perceived cultural differences, the adventure of living independently and making new friends, along with practical topics such as the internship application and improving one’s German skills in preparation of as well as during the stay. Furthermore, Farah answered the students’ most pressing questions and managed to alleviate some of their concerns regarding the difficulties they might face. She shared personal pictures and stories of her stay and gave valuable tips and insights on how to make the most out of the experiences and opportunities that await the future German Year participants.
