
The Youth National Dialogue Initiative Committee in the Senate, headed by Senator Dr. Mahasen Al-Jaghoub, visited the German Jordanian University to learn about its pioneering educational model.
The University President, Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, presented a detailed presentation in the presence of the committee members: Prof. Wajih Owais, Hussein Al-Hawatmeh, Michel Nazzal, Hayel Obaidat, Mamdouh Nabas, Nassima Al-Fakhri, and Khalil Haj Tawfiq. He highlighted the university's leadership and excellence, the mechanisms of aligning its educational programs to the labor market, and its strategy in supporting scientific research and innovation.
Al-Halhouli pointed out that the university has successfully established strong partnerships with German scientific institutions, including more than 120 partner universities and over 5,000 German factories and companies, aiming to provide practical training opportunities for students during their mandatory academic year in Germany.
He also explained that the university has made it a priority to contribute to the development of the local community through numerous pioneering and innovative training programs. These programs aim to enhance the qualifications of local youth and improve their opportunities in the labor market. Additionally, the university provides educational opportunities for Syrian refugees and Jordanian youth in areas affected by displacement through the Syrian-Jordanian Education Program.
For her part, Senator Al-Jaghoub confirmed that the purpose of the visit was to learn about the university's pioneering educational programs and its role in serving the local community, as well as to engage in dialogue with the students and explore the university’s facilities.
Al-Jaghoub emphasized the importance of knowledge transfer and experience exchange between universities, benefiting from successful practices, especially in the field of applied education. She also stressed the need to develop educational tools and give special attention to the youth and education sectors due to their pivotal role in the development and progress of societies.
At the end of the visit, an extensive discussion took place regarding the university's role in supporting development and the national economy, during which the committee members affirmed the importance of the university's contribution to providing high-quality education, which helps in preparing a generation of youth equipped with knowledge, science, and experience in various fields.
