The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Alhalhouli, and the General Director of The Vocational Training Corporation, Eng. Ahmed Al-Gharibeh discussed cooperation methods between the two parties in training programs and modern professional disciplines according to international specifications and standards, especially German standards in vocational training.
During the meeting, they discussed creating joint programs based on best practices and holding specialized training programs that allow students to work in the international market besides the local one in partnership with the university.
Dr. Al-Halhouli indicated that GJU vision is to strengthen its position as an international university of applied sciences, a leader in education, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community service, and to be a role model in strengthening bridges between Germany, Jordan and the world.

For his part, Gharaibeh praised the importance of the partnership with the university, indicating that the Corporation's directions are based on openness to educational institutions to benefit from its expertise in developing the vocational education and training sector in Jordan.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Professional Development Committee, Dr. Ziyad Abu Al-Rub, Training Advisor, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Disi, and the Director of the Consultation and Training Center (CTC), Mr. AbdulHakeem Arabiyat at GJU, in addition to the Vocational Training Sector Development Advisor and the General Director Assistant for Technical Affairs at the Corporation.
At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the university’s facilities, which included the engineering workshops of the School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS), the Syrian-Jordanian Education Program, the laboratories of the School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS), the Nano Lab, and the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH).
