To further solidify the high quality of language teaching also in digital online lessons and to remain at the forefront of teaching methodology at the German Jordanian University (GJU), an intensive training session for a selected group of lecturers at the German Language Center (GLC) took place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. 25 German as a Foreign Language teacher dedicated themselves from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to the central topic of "Didactics in Online Teaching."

The event was led by the experienced education expert Eva-Lisa Finzi. Since 2022, she has been responsible for pedagogical development at the Institute for International Communication Germany in Duesseldorf, making her perfectly suited for the topic. In her role, she not only designs online and hybrid formats but also regularly trains teachers in this field. Particularly valuable for our team were her profound expertise in the future fields of Artificial Intelligence and learning management systems.

Over the four hours, she linked theoretical foundations of neurodidactics with highly practical applications. Participants were provided with concrete tools to effectively adapt classic teaching content for online settings, select appropriate tools for differentiation, and sustainably increase learner motivation.

This advanced training session once again underscored our commitment to continuously reflecting on our GLC's teaching methodology and keeping it updated with insights from leading experts for a future-oriented and learner-centered language education at our university.
