The German Language Centre (GLC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) held several workshops from 26 September to 6 October 2021 that included topics on the conversion of courses at the GLC to a blended learning format from the 1st semester of the academic year 2021/22, and the presentation of authoring tools to be used in the conversion of subject-related courses into fully digitalized courses.
The training sessions aimed to train the lecturers at the GLC in digital forms of teaching. In particular, it was about preparing for the new semester, which has replaced the pure online teaching that has been practiced for three semesters now with a combination of physical teaching and asynchronous blended learning phases.
The workshops were led by the multipliers from the training units of the GJU's Centre for E-Learning and Academic Performance Development and Samir Haskic, an instructor at GLC and Goethe-Institut certified expert in language teaching in online and blended learning formats.
