The German Jordanian University (GJU), through its School of Computing, organized a specialized student training workshop in cybersecurity, delivered by experts from the National Cyber Security Center.
The five-day workshop addressed a range of key topics, including an overview of the National Cybersecurity Framework, Jordan’s national cybersecurity defense lines, the national cybersecurity philosophy, and the core principles and capabilities underpinning the Jordanian National Cybersecurity Framework. Additional sessions focused on business modeling and the Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) methodology, providing participants with practical tools to assess and manage information-related risks.
The workshop was facilitated by a team of specialists from the National Cyber Security Center and was attended by 58 students from the Computer Science and Computer Engineering departments, reflecting strong student engagement and interest in cybersecurity.
The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Amani Abu Jabal, Chair of the Computer Science Department, in coordination with the department’s teaching assistants, as part of the School of Computing’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ practical skills and align academic learning with national cybersecurity priorities.
