The German Jordanian University (GJU) honored the winners of the First Graduation Projects Forum 2025 during an official ceremony attended by the Vice President for Academic Excellence, Prof. Iyas Khader, and the President’s Advisor for Sustainability, Prof. Osama Saadeh.

The forum, organized by the university to highlight creativity and academic excellence, witnessed strong competition among innovative student projects that demonstrated the students’ ability to develop solutions addressing community needs and aligning with scientific and technological developments.

First place was awarded to Noor Daqa from the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) for her project titled "Adaptive Reuse and Urban Development," which focused on rehabilitating the abandoned Al-Hussein Cinema in downtown Amman and transforming it into a fully integrated community center. The project was supervised by Architect Tha’er Qub'a, and she was awarded a monetary prize of 750 JOD.

Second place went to a team from the Business School (BS), consisting of Nouf Abu Shareef and Abdulrahman Abu Sunbul, under the supervision of Dr. Jamal Al-Qandus, for their project "GJU COMPASS," an AI-powered chatbot designed to enhance the student experience and improve university services. The team received a monetary prize of 500 JOD.

Third place was awarded to Sarah Al-Samarrai from the School of Applied Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHSS), majoring in Languages, for her project titled "Translation and Interpretation of the 'Clarifying Fa’' in the Holy Quran: A Comparative Analysis of English and German Translations," supervised by Dr. Oliver Ritter. She received a monetary prize of 250 JOD.

The monetary prizes were sponsored by Arab Bank, which was represented at the ceremony by Mr. Saad Taha. An external jury committee assessed the projects with a high level of professionalism and impartiality. The committee included representatives from Aqaba Logistics Village, Orange, Alfredo EdTech, JEDCO, and Hikma Pharmaceuticals.

This event reaffirmed GJU’s commitment to fostering student innovation and academic excellence, while enhancing their creative thinking skills to empower them as effective contributors to national development and to the future vision of both the university and society.
