As part of the Doing Good, Growing Strong project’s ongoing efforts to support social entrepreneurship and enterprises in Jordan, the project team— in collaboration with one of its community members, Eng. Ali Kattan—organized an engaging workshop titled “Proposal Writing and Fundraising.”
The workshop, sponsored by Olistic and hosted at PowerMinds Workspace, introduced participants to the fundamentals of proposal writing and fundraising. It provided valuable insights into crafting effective proposals and understanding key concepts related to fundraising for social initiatives.
This session marks the beginning of a series of capacity-building workshops, shaped by participants’ feedback and designed to cover additional aspects of proposal writing and fundraising in greater depth.
Dr. Abdelrahman Zuraik, GJU President’s Advisor for Innovation, Technology Transfer & Entrepreneurship, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening GJU’s role in fostering innovation and empowering changemakers in the community.
Dr. Farah Al Taji, Principal Investigator of the Doing Good, Growing Strong project, highlighted the value of collaboration between academia and practitioners to enhance social impact and sustainable growth.
A special thanks to Arch. Dana Al-lafi and Mrs. Ghufran Abudayyeh for their efforts in organizing the event, and heartfelt appreciation to Eng. Ali Kattan for his continuous support to the project and for generously sharing his knowledge with our community.
