Biography

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Missbach studied electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Coburg and the Technical University Ilmenau. He then completed his Ph.D. at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University, conducting his industrial doctorate in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz AG in Sindelfingen. He worked on leak testing procedures in automotive production, including the question of how the testing and commissioning of fuel cell vehicles can be integrated into series production. In total, he worked at Mercedes-Benz AG for around 15 years, most recently as Technical Project Manager Quality for Body Tightness for the S-, E- and C-Class product group. In 2023, he was appointed to the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt to teach process engineering measurement technology.
