Under the patronage of the President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, GJU celebrated the graduation of the 11th, 12th, and 13 batches of Bachelor and Master Programs, in the presence of former GJU presidents, representatives of official institutions, the President of the American University in Madaba, and the families of the graduate students.
In his speech during the ceremony, Dr. Al-Halhouli congratulated the graduate students and their families, wishing them a life full of hope, optimism, and success.
Dr. Al-Halhouli also referred to the university’s approach to simulating the German education approach, which mixes theoretical and practical sides, and its keenness to give this approach the most attention, adding that GJU sought to gain a new uniqueness by obtaining German accreditation for thirteen specializations.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Halhouli added that GJU established the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH) and launched a business incubator in partnership with Orange, with the support of the German Foundation for International Cooperation (GIZ) to form a nucleus for spreading a culture of creativity to enter the labor market, also launched the first German company on campus.
For her part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Thelal Oweis, gave a speech in which she encouraged the students to continue playing roles in serving the country and society and set an example of integrity and impartiality, asking them to keep in touch and support the university.
Some GJU graduates gave speeches in which they expressed their happiness on graduation, noting the role of GJU in preparing them, especially during the German Year, where it refined skills and enhanced knowledge to be partners in building the nation.
At the end of the ceremony, which included presentations of the graduates’ success stories in Jordan and Germany, Dr. Al-Halhouli handed over certificates to graduates and honored firsts in class.
