As part of his official working visit to China, Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), participated in the Global Ocean Development Forum and China Future Day 2025, where he delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the university’s journey and development as a pioneering model in building international partnerships and enhancing applied education, emphasizing that it represents a unique success story in international cooperation since its establishment to the present day.

Prof. Al-Halhouli highlighted the key milestones in the university’s development, starting from its founding phase and continuing with the launch of the Technology, Research, and Innovation Park (TRIP), which serves as a vital bridge between academia and industry sectors, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship at both the local and regional levels.

He also referred to Jordan’s distinguished status, owing to its political and social stability, as well as its abundant creative youth energy and promising potential, which have made it a fertile environment for technology and innovation. Additionally, he highlighted Jordan’s tourism excellence and the investment opportunities and strategic partnerships it offers.

On the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Fadwa Dababneh, Director of TRIP at GJU, participated in a series of meetings with representatives from Chinese and German companies. During these meetings, ideas and experiences were exchanged, and new cooperation opportunities were explored, further enhancing the university’s position as a distinguished academic destination in the fields of technology, research, and applied education.
